By using Real Epoch Converter you agree to these terms. They are deliberately short and plain — "I" and "my" below refer to me, the individual developer who runs this site.
0. Who operates this service
Real Epoch Converter is built and operated by me — an individual developer — as a solo project. In these terms, "I", "me", and "my" refer to the site's operator, and "you" refers to you as a visitor or user. Additional details about the site's legal status, accuracy limits, and advertising can be found in the legal disclaimer.
1. The service
Real Epoch Converter provides a free online epoch converter for converting Unix timestamps to dates and dates back to timestamps, along with batch conversion and code snippets. The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including, but not limited to, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability.
2. Accuracy is your responsibility
I work hard to keep conversions correct, but you are responsible for verifying any value you rely on in production systems, code, financial calculations, or time-sensitive decisions. Check ambiguous timestamps (for example, values that could be seconds or milliseconds) before using them.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, or otherwise abuse the service or its infrastructure.
- Use the service to process data you do not have the right to process.
- Misrepresent the service or imply it is affiliated with any third party.
4. Privacy, cookies, and consent
Use of the service is also governed by my privacy policy and cookie policy. Conversions happen 100% locally in your browser and never leave your device. To keep the tool free, the site shows advertising (Google AdSense) and uses analytics (Google Analytics 4), managed through a cookie consent banner that I built and operate myself. The contact form, optional newsletter signup, and user reviews store what you type securely via standard third-party processors. The privacy policy explains exactly what each of these collects and how to opt out, including your rights under the EU/UK GDPR, India's DPDP Act, and US state privacy laws.
5. User reviews and user-generated content
The reviews page lets visitors publish opinions about the service. By submitting a review you agree to the following.

- License: you grant me a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual license to publish, display, and store your review on this site (name, rating, and text) in connection with operating the service. You keep ownership of what you write. I do not use reviews in advertising or republish them elsewhere.
- Your responsibility: reviews must reflect your honest opinion based on your genuine experience. You are responsible for what you write and confirm it does not infringe anyone's rights or any law. Submitting a review requires ticking the unticked consent checkbox on the form, and the submit button stays disabled until you do.
- Content standards: reviews must not contain spam, advertising, links, malware, profanity, harassment, personal attacks, personal data of other people, defamation, hate speech, sexual content, or anything unlawful under applicable law. I may decline or remove any review that violates these standards at my discretion.
- Moderation: every review is checked by a human before it appears. I do not edit reviews for meaning — reviews are published or removed as written. Removal of content that violates these terms is not censorship of honest negative opinion: negative reviews that meet the standards are published like any other.
- Opinions are the authors' own: reviews express the views of their authors, not of Real Epoch Converter. I host user opinions and am not responsible for their content beyond my moderation duties.
- Reporting and removal: to report a review that breaks these rules, or to request correction or erasure of your own review (including under the EU/UK GDPR right to erasure or India's DPDP Act, 2023), use the contact page with the exact display name used. I act on valid reports promptly.
6. Intellectual property
The site's design, code, and content are my property or licensed to me. You may use the tool freely, but you may not copy the site's design or code for competing products without permission.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, I am not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service — even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
8. Changes to these terms
I may update these terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page. Continued use of the service after changes means you accept the updated terms.
